For the weeks l haven’t completed, l
have been using Marcy Penner’s wonderful Project Life planners to keep track of
what is happening and the photos l’ve taken.
If you haven’t seen the planners, you can view them here on Marcy’s website.
They’re a free download and if you are doing Project Life, well worth
getting.
On to Week 6.
This was the week that Dan and l had a
weekend getaway to Coffs Harbour. Because
l had so many photos and other memorabilia that l wanted to include, l used an
additional Becky Higgin’s Design A protector.
Some ideas l thought l would share from
this week’s layout.
1. Cutting
3x4 journaling or filler cards for embellishments on photos. Very brave, l
know. I did this twice in this week’s
layout, and really like the affect.
Quite liberating to know l can use the little piles of journaling cards
that l seem to be accumulating, in other ways.
2. Printing
on journaling cards. I’m really not
a fan of my handwriting, so finding a way of printing on my journaling cards
has been important to me. Inspired by
Liz Tamanaha’s post here, l gave it a go for the first time
in this week’s layout.
3. Include
your handwriting. Whilst l like the
idea of including my hand writing in my Project Life layouts, l have great
difficulty in doing so. This week was
the first time l have hand written anything for Project Life – six words to
summarise our weekend getaway. A big step for me, and l don’t
think it looks that bad.
4. Including
maps. I’m a map person – love
them. In this week’s layout l included
two. One of Coffs Harbour, and another
of the resort where we stayed. Apart
from visual interest, l think it adds a great sense of space and geograpahy to your
layouts.
Till
next time…..

Thanks Ronnie! I'm finding great inspiration over at the Studio Calico members gallery. Love how you can see how others have used products in the Project Life kit.
