North Coast places – Coffs Harbour

Earlier this month, Dan and l had a trip away to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary.

Since we had planned for Bella to stay with her Grandmother in Grafton, we thought we might as well keep on travelling down the highway to Coffs Harbour. With both of us growing up in Grafton, Coffs Harbour has been a regular destination for day trips and short breaks away.
Please click on the images below to see them in more detail.
We stayed at PacificBay Resort.

Ate lots of food – Coffs Harbour has lots of great places to eat.  This was breakfast at the Surf Club.

Even though it was overcast with the occasional shower, eating breakfast by the beach was good. There’s something about the sea air.

We took a walk along the Marina and visited the Fisherman’s Cooperative.

After a bit of shopping – we went back to the resort and played golf and went for a swim.

In the pool, l loved looking up and seeing the blue sky through the Pandanus leaves.

The highlight of the trip for me, was after dinner on the Jetty Strip we for a walk along the Jetty.  The sun was just going down, and the sky was amazing.

Out there on the Jetty, with views of the ocean, MuttonbirdIsland and the Marina…it was easy to escape.

Kids fishing while their Mum sat waiting, rugged up in a blanket reading a book.

And looking back to see the escarpment with sun setting behind them.

And my husband of ten years, who posed for a number of these self portraits ( taken with the old hold your arm out trick). I love this photo, and the look on our face.  We’re happy.

Love you Mr Clay, here’s looking forward to another ten years.
